The trees are there to stop evil forces Forces called memories The forces created the creatures Creatures that are made to scratch Scratch the trees till they bleed Creatures that behave as monsters Yet they are daisies compared to the memories Memories of torment and torture The trees bleed as they are being scratched upon Slowly a memory slithers out I try to help the tree to heal Helping by thinking of a good memory Making the creatures scratch harder Each memory brings me down Down the pit I run away from daily The creatures become happy For the pit forming in my head is their home
